About Loki
Loki was my very first competition dog but more importantly my heart and soul. I screwed up a lot with her, but she was very forgiving. In her younger years, she did weight pull, agility, obedience, rally, dock diving, has marched in parades, has participated in costume contests, and more. As an elder bull, she was a great community dog and ambassador. She had very moderate dog-aggression -- although like her momma, don't cross her! -- and could have play dates or attend pet expos filled with hundreds of other dogs. She loved children, made friends easily, could be off-leash, and was Simply Awesome.
Loki retired from any serious competition in 2010. In late 2015, she fought mast cell cancer and won. In her twilight years, she helped me raise Soren the puppy, and I believe she gave some of her amazingness to him. I'll never have another dog like her, but he comes close. Her last day was very peaceful with a long communal nap on the bed, breakfast with bacon and eggs, lots of chewy chews, and a nice outing at the park with her enjoying a roast beef sub sandwich. Loki went over the bridge in June 2019. She was 15.5 years old.
